I love art memes, but I can never find one I actually want to do.

I want to do one for your favorite characters and such, but those usually have lame questions I don't feel like drawing out.

I'm too lazy to make my own meme.

Been a loooooong time since I wrote anything here!

Unfortunately, this is a rant. I was looking through some tutorials recently and some not so recently and some of them have managed to irritate me.

I HATE it when art tutorials say, "Never -insert thing which you must never do here-"

Art can be whatever the hell you want it to be! There are no rules in creating art. There are no things you can't do. And ALL of the things they tell you to OMGNEVER do are purely preference!

I've seen MANY popular artits with shitty anatomy. Hips WAY too big, legs far too long, very pointy limbs, humanly impossible poses, and, let's not forget, gravity defying beach ball boobs, so on and so forth.

I've also seen very plain coloring, no shading at all, sketchy coloring, ect.

And yet, despite all these problems, their art is very well liked! People make amazing art with these and other "mistakes." This proves, like I said, that there are no rules in creating art. Anything can work if you make it work! Art is anything the artist wants it to be. So don't tell me to "never" do this!

Now, all the ones I read were coloring tutorials. So, it was things like, "Never shade using just variants of one color. It makes your art look boring!", "Never use gardients.", "Never use just one texture on a picture, it looks bad." ect..

-__- I've seen all those and more done and they can look fantstic.

Thankfully, this isn't the case in most tutorials. But I've seen it enough to be irritated.
